He began the post on a bright note, gushing about his fans’ well-being while talking about his upcoming song. “Hello ARMY. Are you having a warm end-of-year season? It’s a relief that the weather isn’t feeling cold yet. I think it’s been a long time since I greeted ARMY with a song,” said V.
However, the singer made a quick change in tone and broke the sad news. “Actually, the reason I’m writing this post today is because recently, Yondan took a long journey to the dog stars,” he wrote.
“I thought a lot about how to tell you this, but I felt it was right to share this news with ARMY who have shown so much love for Yondan,” he added, referring to his fans who call themselves ARMY.
“I hope your end of the year is warm and you can tell your loved ones around you that you love them one more time. I hope the Army stays healthy until the day I meet you again. I love you. Thank you,” he concluded.
The singer has shared some pictures and videos of himself with Yeontan over the years.
Fans have been pouring out emotional tributes and trying to share their grief by sending their best wishes to the singer.
“I’m so sorry for your loss V. May Yeontan rest in peace,” said one user, while another added: “This is such heartbreaking news. Yeontan was a ray of sunshine for the entire military. We all miss him so much. Our love and prayers are with him.”
A third commented: “We love you Taehyung! We’ll be thinking of you and Yeontan. We love you.”
Notably, Yeontan is an eight-year-old Pomeranian who has been a regular feature on V’s social media posts and BTS content. Yeontan had been battling serious health issues for the past year, with V revealing that his companion had undergone two heart surgeries.
