தென்மேற்கு மற்றும் அதை ஒட்டிய மத்திய மேற்கு வங்கக்கடல், தெற்கு ஆந்திரா மற்றும் வட தமிழக கடலோர பகுதிகளில் நிலவும் தீவிர குறைந்த காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு பகுதி காரணமாக நேற்று கடலோர மாவட்டங்களில் பரவலாக லேசான மழை பெய்தது.

சென்னையில் நேற்று காலை முதல் லேசான மழை பெய்தது. இந்நிலையில், வங்கக்கடலில் நிலவும் தீவிர காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு பகுதி இன்று படிப்படியாக வலுவிழந்து அதே பகுதியில் குறைந்த காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு பகுதியாக மாற வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

இதன் காரணமாக வரும் 31ம் தேதி வரை தமிழகம், புதுச்சேரி, காரைக்கால் பகுதிகளில் ஒரு சில இடங்களில் லேசான மழைக்கு வாய்ப்புள்ளது. சென்னையில் அடுத்த 48 மணி நேரத்திற்கு வானம் மேகமூட்டத்துடன் காணப்படும் என்றும், ஒரு சில இடங்களில் மிதமான மழைக்கு வாய்ப்புள்ளதாகவும் வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

இந்நிலையில் இன்று அடுத்த 3 மணி நேரத்திற்கு தமிழகத்தில் 10 மாவட்டங்களில் மழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்பு உள்ளதாக வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. அதன் விவரம் வருமாறு: சென்னை, திருவள்ளூர், செங்கல்பட்டு, காஞ்சிபுரம், கடலூர், ராணிப்பேட்டை, வேலூர், திருவண்ணாமலை, கள்ளக்குறிச்சி, விழுப்புரம் உள்ளிட்ட 10 மாவட்டங்களில் காலை 10 மணி வரை லேசானது முதல் மிதமானது வரை மழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
