Honda Activa electric scooter Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched its first electric scooters, the Activa e: and QC1, marking its entry into India’s growing EV market. The Activa e: has a battery and system, while the QC1 has a fixed battery system with a fixed charging cable. The models are part of Honda’s global expansion to introduce 30 electric vehicles
Honda’s efforts are being made to electrify its motorcycle lineup and reduce its carbon footprint. “The launch of the Activa e: and QC1 are the first models in the country to achieve this goal,” the company said.
Honda Activa e: Overview honda activa electric scooter
The Activa e: is based on the heritage of Honda’s popular ICE (battery engine) Activa, but with a new, minimalist design. The scooter features a redesigned front apron, LED headlamp and turn indicators. A sleek LED DRL is integrated into the head, giving it a modern look. The Activa e: comes with a short floorpan and a long seat, with the “Activa e:” badge integrated into the tail lamp unit. Bookings will open on January 1, 2025, and deliveries will begin in February this year.
Under the seat, the Activa e: packs two replaceable 1.5 kWh batteries. Power is provided to an in-wheel motor that can boost the output of 4.2 kW (5.6 bhp) to 6.0 kW (8 bhp). The scooter has a range of 102 km per charge and comes with three riding modes: Standard, Sport and Eco.
